Moorundi ACCHS Ltd. Is incredibly pleased to announce that we were successful in submitting an application for Major Capital Works funding to build a brand new Purpose Built Health Facility at 124 Adelaide Road in Murray Bridge.
The brand new facility will help Moorundi improve access to critical health services for our community and by doing so, create positive progress towards better health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples living on Ngarrindjeri Ruwe.
Culture, Community and Yarluwar Ruwe are at the forefront of everything we do and this investment into the future health of our Community will greatly impact our contribution in Closing the Gap.
At the new facility you will see a brand new Primary Health Care Clinical Area, Infection Control Centre, Administration block with ample office space for staff and an open Community/Wellbeing Garden.
Moorundi Chief Executive Steven Sumner Snr stated that this decision supports outcomes from a Community Consultation held in 2002 where a large number of Ngarrindjeri Community Members supported the development of a Purpose Built Health Facility at 124 Adelaide Road Murray Bridge known to most as the Lower Murray Nungas Club. Twenty years later and we are closing in on fulfilling the wishes of those Community members.
